March 11, 2012. 18-55mm wide angle, 18mm, f/3.5 at 1/320 second, ISO 100

Playing at the park with dusk approaching, I got the perfect lighting for some shots of my daughter. This one is taken from above as she is about to slide gleefully to the bottom.

March 10, 2012. 18-55mm wide angle, 18mm, f/7.1 at 1/1000 second, ISO 100

This photo was taken as we arrived at the Discovery Bay Museum in Sausalito, CA. My father was showing my daughter the Golden Gate Bridge when they were distracted by a dog.

March 9, 2012. 18-55mm wide angle, 18mm, f/3.5 at 1/100 second, ISO 800

I was getting ready for a little photo shoot with our newest baby addition, shooting some reference shots while my wife finished dressing the kiddo. This picture came about almost by accident, but it wound up being my favorite of the day.

November 6, 2010. 18-55mm wide angle, 18mm, f/4.0 at 1/1250 second, ISO 200

My brother-in-law was married just before sunset in Key West. There was cloud cover all day, but the clouds broke for a fantastic sunset. The wedding party left for the reception before the sun actually set, but this was my favorite shot of the sky this evening.

May 31, 2010. 50mm fixed, f/1.8 at 1/4000 second, ISO 200

At a friend’s Memorial Day BBQ, I caught some baby tossing action! This little girl is having a blast with her dad, our good friend, and I just happened to shoot a few of these pictures. I loved this one; got lucky with the lighting, and I think I had the right settings for once!

August 30, 2009. 70-210mm at 153mm, f/11.0 at 1/125 second, ISO 100

On that same boating excursion on Lake Tapps, I thought this might be a cool shot to take. One of my favorite shots to date.
